Front audio not working on any case when using Gigabyte board

More than two Gigabyte boards – Gigabyte H61M-DS2 , P67A-D3-B3
, h61M-DS2-  are facing the same problem, front audio not working. I used more than one case to be sure that the is no problem but no result. I used a multimeter to see if thing are electrically ok and they were … this ended nowhere. Pretty stupid limitation considering that some motherboards can be expensive … or at least this is how it seemed at that  time.

I have met this simptom also at MSI K9N Neo V3. That is when I realized that this might not be a Gigabyte bug. The MSI K9N Neo V3 is rather very old so there cand’t be any connection betwteen them. It has to be the case’s fault.

The solution check if you are using RealTek  and if so notice that these motherboards do not have front audio detection. G.o to sound manager, disable the automatic detection of the front audio (hell just disable everything ;)) ) and problem solved.

One last thing I can think of, if the front audio circuit is more or less performant, this could influent the detection process.
